I never know these so I have to take a stab. Freising, Bavaria? If correct, I owe it all to Knut.
I hazard a guess at Austria.
Alan – Agreed the rooftops do look somewhat the same, and also bring back memories of Bamberg. Although you’ll notice hills in the distance this town is not nearly as hilly at Freising or Bamberg.
Prague, below the Castle grounds
Yes, Czech rooftops.
No, not Prague.
Pilsn!
(yeah, I know — too obvious, but I hadda)
I guess if I were more obvious, I’d base it on your last trip (and the reason for that trip) and say Zatec — maybe?
The photo was taken from the top of the Hop Lighthouse, which is part of the new Hop & Beer Temple at the center of Zatec. Most of the buildings, particularly the ones with chimneys, were once used for drying hops or for hop storage. Now hops are processed and stored north of town, although in a big harvest some of these buildings could be pressed into service.

Yay! One in a row! 😉
