The first of what will be many email solicitations just arrived suggesting a “beer of the month” club membership makes the Father’s Day present.
You know it’s almost time to plant the tomatoes (we can get a late frost in our parts) and brew a wit beer once the “Dads and Grads” promotions begin.
But what about May 9, Mother’s Day? What’s wrong with giving mom a membership in a beer club? Who’s assembling baskets complete with artisan cheese, chocolates and beer?
I don’t hesitate to give my girl beer. Milk stout’s always a good bet for me.
Pink Rio hops for the women I know,,,one is a monk(?),,she loves that brew! Other women do too.
Stan, even Brad hasn’t tasted any of the Pink Rio girls,,,yet.
Neither have you Stan,,,,yet.
Fruity, floral, zippy, bright. Perhaps the Hop queen might approve?
The Pink Rio breeding group has been fun,,,some nice winners,,,great flavors,,,Pink Rio is just a random name. Super high flower to veg ratio.
Now the up and coming girls are really exciting! No tastings yet,,,but the Columbus crossed with our Rio hop stud gave some serious nice plants. We’ve never seen such vigor,,,perhaps some real heterosis happened.
Developing new hop varieties is one heck of a long process. Kudos to all that ever tried,,,honest.
