I threatened to retweet the link hourly last week when Kristi Switzer posted the “For the Love of Hops” table of contents and passed along the absolutely gorgeous cover.
But then I realized I’d be all over the unfollow button if somebody else did that. So instead, here’s the cover. Book should start shipping beginning of December. You can find out more at Brewers Publications, and read endorsements from Ken Grossman, Jim Koch and Vinnie Cilurzo.
Man, I hope they know what they are talking about.
Very excited about this book, Stan.
Cheers!
Fabulous. I have it on pre-order as well as the sibling book, “Water”. I had not appreciated (though I am sure you had said) that it was part of the series starting with “Yeast”. I am sure I agree with you that these each should be titled “Water!”, “Yeast!” and “Hops!”. Will there be further and more detailed companions? Will there be “Irish Moss!” one day?
Alan- Water is due out next fall, and malt will follow. Don’t know of any plans for Irish Moss, although I appreciate the concept of a book with a narrower focus than hops.
Great news! I’d say “awesome,” but i understand that that should only be applied to cathedrals and vistas and the like.
At last! My chance for authorship. I actually have a hook as 99% of Irish Moss is from my old home province of PEI or (pittui!) Denmark. Don’t be fooled by shoddy Danish Irish Moss.
Putting this book on my holiday Wish List. Sounds like a great addition to my growing beer book library.
Stan, as I drove through the Hallertau fields, having just heard that there were Cascades somewhere among them, I thought of you.
By the way, when did you gussy the place up? Looks great.
Looks great, can’t wait to read it.
