#nottwitter is an experiment begun Jan. 12, 2022.
I created it for my own amusement, but it results from a series of tweets by Ezra Klein. This was the key one:
So much of blogging was "Link + quick comment."
The sites that built the blogosphere as a conversational ecosystem — Instapundit, Atrios, Daily Dish — specialized in that. But we all did a lot of it. And it created maps and conversations for readers to follow.

In case it isn’t clear, the sentence I am leaning on is this one: So much of blogging was “Link + quick comment.”
When I read something and a question pops to mind my choices are a) write a blog post, b) pose it on Twitter, c) write it on a piece of paper that will eventually be thrown away, or d) skip c.
Back in the day I might have expected comments (for those who don’t remember comments they are like replies on Twitter). I don’t expect that here. So like I typed at the top, an experiment begun Jan. 12, 2022. I don’t know that it will survive the month.
