Some are lists.<\/p>\n<p><strong>* The boom continues.<\/strong> In <a href=\"http:\/\/chitownontap.com\/2011\/12\/28\/2011-chicagos-craft-beer-year-in-review\/\">Chicago<\/a>, in <a href=\"http:\/\/brewyorknewyork.com\/post\/14916777983\/beer-superlatives-the-best-and-worst-of-the-new-york\">New York,<\/a> and in <a href=\"http:\/\/www.timescall.com\/business\/local-business\/ci_19676921?source=most_viewed\">Longmont, Colo.<\/a> Maybe this is why I spotted a beer delivery truck advertising <em>Dale&#8217;s Pale Ale<\/em> in Manhattan.<\/p>\n<p><strong>* Big Eddy.<\/strong> Don Russell makes Leinenkugel&#8217;s Big Eddy Russian Imperial Stout Joe Sixpack&#8217;s Beer of the Year. He writes, &#8220;Some readers will cringe at my selection, partly because Leinenkugel is technically part of the Big Beer Axis of Evil. Indeed, MillerCoors&#8217; new Tenth and Blake specialty division has raised fears of a price-cutting incursion on the little guys&#8217; vulnerable wholesale flank. I&#8217;ll leave that worry for another day. For now, I&#8217;m calling Leinenkugel&#8217;s Big Eddy Russian Imperial Stout my Beer of the Year, and I&#8217;m counting 2011 as the year Miller finally saw the light.&#8221; <a href=\"http:\/\/www.joesixpack.net\/columnArchives\/2012\/010512.htm\">Interesting thoughts.<\/a><\/p>\n<p>* <strong>&#8216;No list is every 100% correct or wrong.&#8217;<\/strong> In fact, I&#8217;ve seen some that are <em>all wrong<\/em>. But Bryan Koselar (that&#8217;s his quote at the front) gets more than a few right. Including <a href=\"http:\/\/communities.washingtontimes.com\/neighborhood\/list-ten-those-top-then-things-we-enjoy\/2011\/dec\/23\/top-10-buzz-brewers-2011\/\">Buzz Breweries<\/a>, <a href=\"http:\/\/communities.washingtontimes.com\/neighborhood\/list-ten-those-top-then-things-we-enjoy\/2011\/dec\/17\/top-ten-craft-beer-themes-2011\/\">Craft beer themes<\/a>, and a <a href=\"http:\/\/communities.washingtontimes.com\/neighborhood\/after-hours-brew-lounge\/2012\/jan\/5\/top-ten-craft-beers-2011\/\">Top Ten list<\/a> (ouch; just bit my tongue).<\/p>\n<p><strong>* But Stephen Beaumont goes 0 for 6.<\/strong> I might be kidding (my sense of humor is an acquired taste).
