Where in the beer world?

Do you know where this picture was taken? I’ll give you a hint: It’s not a bar. (Even if you don’t know, please read on.)

Where in the beer world is this?

Since we’re traveling a bit for the next 15 months and I often have a camera in hand I thought I’d post a few photos (more are at Flickr, but I’m running way behind in posting them because so many campground connections don’t play well with Flickr).

If you know where the photo was taken or if you have something to say about the subject please leave a comment.

This isn’t really a contest. The idea is to have a little fun.

So first doesn’t count and there are no prizes. No prizes for now, at least. But I will try to post a new photo every week and keep track of everybody who comments. Eventually — it will be next year — there will be a drawing and we can give away a prize or three.

  1. That was taken at a Consumer’s Beverage location in Western New York; the dead giveaway is the Flying Bison tap handle. What’d you get, anyway?

Too bad; If I’d known you’d be in the area, I’d have taken you somewhere better still- -the Village Beer Merchant–though Consumer’s most certainly doesn’t suck.

  2. more taps than the transit rd. location, but definitely a Consumers.

we’re so spoiled for growlers when we visit my folks in buffalo (and when we stop at finger lakes beverage in ithaca on the way back). i wish other states would allow 3rd party growler fills!

  3. Ethan and Mike. Thanks for nailing that . Would have hated to start this and have nobody know where it was.

Ethan, couldn’t go with a growler because that was the evening Daria was on Jeopardy and we’ve been hauling around a bottle of champagne since we left New Mexico.

We can’t keep much beer on hand because the RV gets pretty warm when we are out doing things and most of our limited fridge space is for food.

Josh, see the note about space (140 square feet, if you count the cab). But the Flying Dog RV is so equipped, right?

And Steve – that’s the growler price. Pretty good deal.

  4. ” that’s the growler price. Pretty good deal.”

When I started putting together Ethan & Mike’s info, I figured that and yeah — pretty nice prices. Wish there was a CB in the Chicago or Milwaukee area.
