Wilson at Brewvana has announced the topic for The Session #11. As he puts it:

Yes, plan to have a dopplebock come Jan. 4.

Mmmmm, doppelbock. Now there’s something that might get me off my lazy butt and back in The Session. Good idea for January!

A doppel in Ontario, where the brewers aren’t even sufficiently inspired to put out an ordinary bock? Good grief! Looks like a trip to the cellar will be in order.

I believe that Trafalgar Ales and Meads still produces a bock from time to time, as does Amsterdam Brewing, but I’ve not seen either for a good long time now. And Creemore Springs Brewing still makes their winter seasonal urBock, but I have found that to be less characterful than it was in the pre-Molson buy-out days, and besides, it’s a bock rather than a doppel.
