I'm happy to hear that the guy who convinced me to pop for the Barriquee at my favorite beer store wasn't insane--he said it was one of the best beers he'd ever had. But still, if the bottle hits double digits in price, it can't be a "mystery beer." Variation is one thing, selling fouled beer another. I’m afraid I’ve only had bad Panils, too. One was flat, one was "bad sour" (and I am definitely at the Cantillon Iris level), and the third was just...eh. I'm still waiting to see what the big deal is all about with this beer, but I'm going to wait till someone opens a bottle nearby and goes "WoW!" to have any more.
