It's going to LOOK like I'm spamming here soon, because I'm going to comment on EVERY one of these rules...but I assure you that's not the case here ;) On rule #1.... Believe it or not, I've had some REALLY aged (almost improperly aged) beers in my time that had a bit of rust under the cap, that did turn out pretty darn good. Though if it's rusting...well I don't have to get into the chemical process here, but that's going to affect the taste. That being said, I think the "not too bad" taste did come from lowering my expectations to start with ;) Love this rule...made me laugh. Ilya Ok…

On rule #1….

Believe it or not, I’ve had some REALLY aged (almost improperly aged) beers in my time that had a bit of rust under the cap, that did turn out pretty darn good. Though if it’s rusting…well I don’t have to get into the chemical process here, but that’s going to affect the taste.

That being said, I think the “not too bad” taste did come from lowering my expectations to start with ;)
