There is a wacky proposition going around the web by some Danes that they invented "open source" beer a few years ago by publishing a recipe. As recipes, like any instruction manuals, are excluded from copyright law all public recipes are in fact and always have been open source. I ranted <a href="http://www.genx40.com/archives/2005/june/notthecoverof" rel="nofollow">here</a> about the whole string of Web 2.0 hooey. But this participatory tweeking is different and far better a notion. That is a good scheme and a real “open source” idea.
