You know I’m an unabashed Deschutes apologist :). Seriously though, Lew’s review could well be a preview for how it’ll be received this year… I rather liked it, but I did miss the fresh hop aroma from past years.

There goes Lew, the established generation coming the the East Coast, always wanting bigger, bolder, stronger brews….typical.
My review is coming up this weekend. A quick preview, I’m with Jon. What can I say, the kids love a sessionable pale ale.
Jon – I didn’t make any tasting notes at GABF, but after reading your two reviews back-to-back (interesting timing) I was left wondering about the power of suggestion. Did I notice an oiliness you two don’t mention because I knew it was fresh hopped?
Had Great Divide’s fresh hop earlier in the day. Not as oily, more hop flavor and aroma. Would cause me to agree with your agricultural product theory.
