		<description>If the word &quot;sommelier&quot; cannot be adapted to apply to someone who is experienced about pairing beer and food, and can offer such advice to diners, then, at least, the concept of such a person obviously exists, so we&#039;d still need to call him something.

If English is no longer so flexible as to allow its speakers to take an existing word and apply it to a new situation, why, then we&#039;re as bad off as the French, seeking to freeze the language and not allow it to grow.

Call him the beer sommelier, the sommelier, or just plain beer guy, if he has a good idea about which beers go well with which beers, advise away!</description>
