  1. The Bevchek technology is interesting, but underlines the GIGO nature of so much web-based information. Here’s the entry for Thornbridge Bracia: “A young Italian food scientist and a young Scottish brewing graduate run one of the most well-respected, newer breweries in England. This is their midnight black, English Strong Ale, brewed with dark and bitter chestnut honey. Warm up with this one.” “Young Italian food scientist” Stefano Cossi left Thornbridge 2 years ago, and is now the head brewer at Molson Coors’ William Worthington brewery. The Scottish brewing graduate in question is (I’m guessing) Martin Dickie who left to set up BrewDog in 2007. Thornbridge was set up in 2005 (I guess that actually qualifies as “newer”). At least the beer is black and warming – that much is bang-on.

I do wonder if this quality of blurb adds anything to the drinking experience, or just gives the illusion of adding something.

    • Zak,

I’m a fan of “the story” – but not sure it works in the context of this app. And, of course, there is the matter of keeping up with history . . .
