#33 – Where in the beer world?

Do you think you know where in the beer world this photo was taken?
Please leave your answer as a comment.
I’ll be up front and tell you I posted this picture just because I think it is pretty. I can see why many of the brewers I know get excited about copper vessels.

Here’s a hint: Texas.

I was going to guess the Tito’s distillery near Austin. But as they don’t give tours, and I’m not sure their new kettle was made by Vendome, that’s probably off. Not strictly “beer world” anyway.

And the answer is . . . the Spoetzl Brewery in Shiner, Texas.
A five-vessel brewhouse and all copper.
Excellent public tour. Don’t go looking for a class in how to brew, but do expect to walk away with a better understanding of the relationship between this brewery and the tiny Texas town where it has operated for 100 years.
For instance. One employee worked there 63 years.
And they are generous with the samples.
