#24 – Where in the beer world

Do you know where in the beer world this photo was taken?
Couldn’t resist showing you this picture from a spot where the goings on are about to be an excuse for a lot of beer consumption.
Good news – an excellent wine and beer store nearby.

What the heck are you doing in that midst Stan?

Yes, it is Tampa.
Steve, not until we were in the midst of all this football stuff – there were circus tents everywhere – did we remember Tampa was hosting the game. We were just passing through, fortunately, stopping to see the new (not yet brewing) Cigar city and to have top-rate Cuban sandwiches.
We were on the way up Dale Mabry when we saw the stadium, and the Bud Bowl billboard (one of hundreds, it seems).

Trial and error using Google Earth and Live Search maps

They’re still doing Bud Bowl? I know the usual rec is to go with an IPA or American brown, but I’m thinking about a dubbel to go with my chili tomorrow.

Nathan – Could be a good call. Dark sweetness of the dubbel good against chili heat.

And what about European beer. Belgium beer is simply the best.
