Session #20 announced: Beer memories

The SessionBathtub Brewery has announced the topic for Session #20 (meaning that in November it becomes “legal”):

Is there a beer that reminds you of a specific memory?

If you’re thinking, “Huh?” then you might want to craft your response along the lines of “Whenever I drink [insert brew here] it reminds me of that day …” Or perhaps it’s the reverse. Oooooh.

A great topic, but an interesting challenge here. We’ll be in the village of Neuhaus, Germany, because Oct. 3 is the one day of the year all of the Zoigl brewers they serve beer. Perhaps I’ll blog about that, perhaps something else and perhaps I won’t be online at all.

If you’ve got a blog and want to participate it is easy. After you post your contribution drop a line to Bathtub Brewery.

#9 – Where in the beer world?

Where in the beer world?Do you know where in the beer world this photo was taken?

Please include the village, town or city.

By now I hope you have a good idea what is going on here. If not, visit the archives.

A hint? Well, if you try what I think would be the obvious Google search don’t get too excited. Lots of results, but the correct answer doesn’t come up early.

If nobody provides the correct answer in relatively short order then I’ll have another hint that should make it really easy. Just can’t be sure when I’ll be back online to lend that helping hand . . .

Beer at Legoland (German style)

Bierstube at Legoland

No, this isn’t where you buy beer at Legoland in Germany, located a bit east of Ulm.

The photo shows one of thousands of buildings in Miniland, this particular one dwarfed by the likes of a replica of the Allianz arena in Munich (the soccer venue). The beer serving size at the Bier Stube would be one very small lego block.

However, as you would expect in Germany, adults can drink beer in the park. A .5L of Autrenrieder hefeweizen, helles or radler costs 3.20 euros.
